Windows 10 Pro OS: 1703, Build 15063.413, 64-Bit on a Dell Precision 7720 requires a reboot to have any status (only ones tested: Caps, Num, ALT, CTRL, SHIFT, WIN) of TrayStatus indicate key status change/toggle.

However, the Num Lock did display active (ON), but would not toggle.

TrayStatus = v3.1 (Trial)

That's strange! I'd like to test this out here, but want to make sure I have the steps correct. Can you confirm these are correct?
  • Install TrayStatus on Windows 10
  • Enable some Status Indicators and click OK
  • The indicators won't update their status
  • Reboot
  • The indicators now update their status correctly

I can only confirm the concern originated from the version and build of windows specified with the monitoring of the specified keys. Yes, that is exactly the procedure.

Ok, thanks! I couldn't reproduce that issue here, but if we run into it again and can reproduce it, we'll definitely get it fixed up.

Hey Just downloaded TrayStatus to check it out. I can vouch for a reboot needed. It's windows 10Pro Current. Not fall creator yet though.

Also until reboot, the icons were hidden. Which I see further down in another support ticket.

Honestly no big deal. A reboot is fine and actually makes a lot of sense.

Chip

PS Oh yeah buying it as part of the package with Display fusion. Just checking out everything else you have.
