Tray Status Unknown Error

2 discussion posts
I'm not going to complain too much about this, because I'm using the free version. Today, the app's icons disappeared from the tray. I uninstalled and reinstalled a fresh version (8.2c). When I went to configure HD activity, I received this error message:

An unknown error has occurred.
Failed to call PdhLookupPerfNameByIndexW.

Any thoughts?

This usually means that there's an issue with the Windows Performance Counters. We've just released a new TrayStatus beta, could you try updating to that, then click the "Fix Performance Counters" button on the TrayStatuts Settings > Status Indicators tab to see if that helps? You may need to restart TrayStatus after doing that.

Thanks. That fixed it.
