Perhaps you could add tray pop-ups when CapsLock, NumLock or ScrollLock are pressed? Something along "CapsLock is on/CapsLock is off" and so on. Could be really helpful.

Popup would be useful. I would also like to have the icon be displayed in the tray on the taskbar when status is on and be hidden in the tray when the status is off. Conceptually this is roughly like toggling between show and hide in Win7.

If this feature already exists, please point to the appropriate doc.

Off topic: The log in screen password length should be longer. The length is also inconsistent with the change and new password length.

We've released TrayStatus 3.0 Beta 1, and there's now an option to only show the indicator when the key is toggled on

Note that with TrayStatus 3.0, we're introducing a Pro version with added features over the free version. The existing free features will always be free, but some new ones in the future (like the ability to only show the indicator when on) may be paid Pro features.

We've also add the ability to show a tray notification balloon when the status changes
