It's the drop-down menu that's just below the "Default Indicators" label.

When I change settings to light mode it is always in dark mode.

Strange, I can't seem to reproduce this on my end. If you open the TrayStatus Settings > Status Indicators tab, are your indicators set to "Light Icons"?

Winodws 11 status indicators (Caps/Num Lock) not displaying light on dark Taskbar (which they do on Win 10). Have to go with pale Taskbar to see them

I had a bug too, I hope you have the same because I solved mine.
I was unable to display CPU and hard drive activity, when I wanted to activate them, I had a message complaining about bad counters values (null values read).
